A Memorable Journey Group from Malaysia

This itinerary has previously been carried out by a group from Malaysia. It was an early Monday morning when a group of travelers from Selangor, Malaysia, arrived at Kualanamu Airport. Drivers warmly greeted them.

From Kualanamu, the group embarked on a scenic drive to the Sidamanik Tea Gardens in Simalungun Regency. The lush green tea plantations, rich with history dating back to the Dutch colonial era, provided a serene backdrop for their lunch at the Sidamanik Tea Garden. Sipping on the locally renowned Tobasari and Butong teas, they savored both the flavors and the views.

Their journey continued with a stop at the breathtaking Simarjarunjung Hill. At an elevation of 1,300 meters, the panoramic views of Lake Toba left everyone in awe. As the sun began to set, they visited the vibrant Saribudolok Orange Plantation, marveling at the endless rows of fruit-laden trees.

 

The day concluded with a ferry ride across the tranquil waters of Lake Toba, from Tigaras Harbour to Simanindo Harbour. Upon arrival, the group settled into SiRulo Homestay, a charming lakeside retreat in Samosir Regency.

A delicious dinner and a briefing for the next day's activities brought the day to a close, leaving the group free to relax and enjoy the peaceful surroundings.

Exploring the Beauty of Samosir Island

Tuesday began with a delicious breakfast at SiRulo Homestay. The day’s itinerary was filled with exploration, starting with a visit to Tano Ponggol Bridge, the unique land link between Sumatra and Samosir Island.

They then ventured to Bukit Burung and other plantations, marveling at the natural beauty and agricultural abundance of the region.

Lunch was a special treat in traditional Batak house near Bukit Holbung in Jabu Siamun. The group spent the afternoon hiking the rolling green hills of Bukit Holbung, taking in breathtaking views of Lake Toba and its surroundings.

To cap off the day, the group relaxed at the Aek Rangat hot springs, soaking in the warm, mineral-rich waters and reflecting on the beauty of Samosir.

Discovering Hidden Gems

Wednesday’s adventure took the group to the secluded Nai Sogop Waterfall. After a scenic trek through dense tropical forests, they were greeted by the cascading waters and tranquil pools of this hidden gem.

They enjoyed a picnic-style lunch amidst the natural beauty, followed by a visit to Simbolon Village. The evening ended with a delightful barbecue at SiRulo Homestay, where the group shared stories and laughter under the starry sky.

A Farewell to Remember

On their final day, Thursday, the travelers bid farewell to the cozy SiRulo Homestay. Before leaving Samosir, they stopped by the Tomok Market to shop for souvenirs, taking home mementos of their unforgettable journey.

A ferry ride brought them back to Parapat, and from there, they made their way to Kualanamu Airport via the Siantar Toll Road, cherishing the memories of their time in Lake Toba.

The journey to Lake Toba was more than just a trip—it was a celebration of nature, culture, and fellowship. Each destination left an indelible mark on their hearts, making this an adventure they would treasure forever.

Perjalanan Menakjubkan Tamu dari Malaysia ke Danau Toba: Dari Kuala Lumpur ke Pesona Sumatra Utara

Perjalanan tamu kami dari Malaysia bernama Zali ke Danau Toba, berlangsung selama empat hari dari 19 November hingga 22 November 2024. Perjalanannya juga direkam dalam channel videonya.

Dengan latar belakang keindahan alam, budaya yang kaya, dan keramahan penduduk lokal, perjalanan ini menawarkan pengalaman yang tak terlupakan.

Hari 1: Dari Kualanamu ke Kebun Teh Sidamanik, Simarjarunjung

Pada hari pertama, Bang Zali tiba di Bandara Kualanamu dan dijemput oleh supir lokal, Abednego. Setelah menikmati makanan halal di sekitar bandara, perjalanan berlanjut menuju Kebun Teh Sidamanik di Kabupaten Simalungun. Tempat ini terkenal sebagai salah satu perkebunan teh terbesar di Indonesia dengan pemandangan hijau yang memukau.

Di perjalanan, Bang Zali sempat singgah di Bukit Simarjarunjung, yang menawarkan pemandangan spektakuler Danau Toba dari ketinggian 1.300 meter di atas permukaan laut. Hari ditutup dengan makan malam dan briefing singkat tentang kegiatan esok hari.

Hari 2: Menjelajahi Samosir dan Budaya Batak

Bang Zali memulai hari dengan sarapan di SiRulo Homestay, penginapan yang nyaman dengan pemandangan langsung ke Danau Toba. Agenda hari ini mencakup kunjungan ke Kampung Ulos Hutaraja, tempat pengrajin lokal memproduksi kain ulos yang indah, simbol budaya Batak.

Perjalanan dilanjutkan ke Tano Ponggol Bridge, jembatan penghubung Sumatra dengan Pulau Samosir, dan eksplorasi ke Bukit Sibea-bea yang terkenal dengan panorama perbukitan dan patung Kristus. Hari kedua diakhiri dengan petualangan ke Air Terjun Nai Sogop, destinasi tersembunyi yang mempesona dengan air terjun bertingkat dan kolam alami yang jernih.

Hari 3: Bukit Holbung 

Hari ketiga membawa Bang Zali ke Bukit Holbung, yang dikenal dengan hamparan bukit hijau bergelombang dan pemandangan danau yang menakjubkan. Setelah makan siang di sekitar Bukit Holbung, perjalanan berlanjut ke Aek Rangat Pangururan, sumber air panas alami di Samosir. Malam hari diisi dengan barbeque santai di SiRulo Homestay, memberikan waktu untuk bercengkerama atau beristirahat.

Hari 4: Menutup Perjalanan dengan Lintas Danau

Hari terakhir dimulai dengan menyeberang dari Pelabuhan Tomok di Samosir menuju Parapat dengan kapal feri. Perjalanan dilanjutkan ke Bandara Kualanamu melalui jalur tol. Meskipun singkat, perjalanan ini penuh dengan pengalaman yang memperkaya jiwa.

Huta Simandalahi, Bukti Kisah Keturunan Toga Sinaga Berpencar dari Samosir Menuju Girsang 1 Simalungun

Simalungun, NINNA.ID– Suku Batak dikenal sebagai orang yang senang merantau, berpencar. Alasan utama biasanya untuk membuka lahan atau mencari kehidupan yang lebih baik. Demikian halnya keturunan Toga Sinaga. Toga Sinaga merupakan keturunan Raja Batak.

Silsilah Dimulai Raja Batak

Dari yang bermukim di Pusuk Buhit, keturunannya berpencar ke berbagai desa di Pulau Samosir. Salah satunya yakni Toga Sinaga bermukim di Desa Urat di Pulau Samosir.

Lama-kelamaan, keturunan Toga Sinaga pun menyebrangi Danau Toba lalu bermukim di Kabupaten Simalungun.

Dimulai dari membuka perkampungan atau huta yang ada di Sibaganding hingga menyebar ke wilayah Girsang Sipanganbolon lainnya.

Sekalipun keturunan Sinaga tersebut adalah suku Batak Toba, kenyataannya secara administrasi wilayah tersebut masuk wilayah Kabupten Simalungun.

Silsilah Toga Sinaga

Berdasarkan keterangan yang didapat dari generasi ke-13 Simandalahi yakni Samsudin Parulian Ganda Sinaga, Simandalahi merupakan keturunan dari Suhut Nihuta.

Ia menjelaskan, Suhut Nihuta punya empat anak laki-laki. Salah satunya Sorak Maunok. Sorak Maunok belakangan punya anak laki-laki yang dinamai Suhut Maraja.

Suhut Maraja memiliki dua istri. Istri pertama boru Sihotang yang memberinya putra bernama Sidasuhut dan Sidallogan.

Karena boru Sihotang meninggal, ia memperistri boru Manurung yang melahirkan Simaibang, Simandalahi, dan Simanjorang.

Jejak dari keturunan Suhut Maraja ini dapat kita temukan hingga sekarang di Kecamatan Girsang Sipanganbolon. Ada kampung atau huta yang bernama Sidasuhut, Sidallogan, Simaibang, Simandalahi, dan Simanjorang.

Huta yang dinamai Simaibang terdapat di Sipanganbolon. Huta yang dinamai Simandalahi terdapat di Girsang, Sipanganbolon, Bangun Dolok, dan Hasinggaan.

Huta Simandalahi

Hingga sekarang kita bisa menyaksikan tapak tilas keturunan Suhut Maraja bernama Simandalahi di Girsang 1 yakni di Huta Simandalahi.

Huta ini berada di ujung jalan Girsang 1, jalur sebelah kiri dari Pohon Hariara (Beringin).

Setidaknya ada tiga Rumah Batak yang masih bisa kita lihat di Huta Simandalahi.

Kebanyakan keturunan Sinaga di Huta Simandalahi merantau atau berpencar ke tempat lain. Meski begitu, Huta Simandalahi statusnya masih milik marga Sinaga Simandalahi.

Tidak ada kisah kanibalisme atau hukuman mati seperti di Huta Siallagan pernah terjadi di Huta Simandalahi.

Ukuran rumahnya juga cenderung sama satu sama lain. Motif dan warna juga demikian.

Dapat disimpulkan Raja bernama Simandalahi dan keturunannya tidak terlalu menonjol dalam banyak hal.

Sekalipun demikian, sebagaimana suku Batak lainnya, keturunan Simandalahi hidup dari sektor pertanian.

Di sekitar Huta Simandalahi, ada banyak pepohonan lebat yang dapat dipastikan ditanam oleh Simandalahi dan keturunannya di masa silam.

Saat kita berkunjung kesini, kita akan melihat kebun-kebun sekitar berisi pohon durian, petai, kopi, nira dan lainnya.

Silsilah Penting bagi Suku Batak

Bagi orang Batak, tarombo atau silsilah sangat penting untuk menentukan kedekatan satu dengan lainnya.

Raja Bataklah yang mulai melestarikan silsilah yang dalam Bahasa Batak disebut Tarombo.

Huta Simandalahi

Tarombo ditulis dalam Pustaha Laklak berisi bagan tentang keturunan Raja Batak hingga ke beberapa generasi.

Jika kita perhatikan Tarombo dari Raja Batak hingga Simandalahi jelas bahwa orang Batak berasal dari leluhur yang sama. Berawal dari Siraja Batak kemudian berkembang menjadi marga-marga.

Hingga catatan silsilah berdasarkan garis keturunan ini lazim disimpan dan dituliskan dari generasi ke generasi.

Dapat dikatakan dari sekian banyak suku di Indonesia, suku Batak memiliki hasrat bawaan untuk mengetahui leluhurnya dan melestarikan nama keluarganya.

Itu sebabnya, saat berjumpa dengan sesama Batak, yang kerap ditanya adalah marga, bukan nama.

Selain itu, bagi orang Batak sangat penting punya anak laki-laki yang meneruskan nama keluarga atau marga.

Jika kelak Sobat Ninna berkunjung ke Huta Simandalahi atau jumpa dengan marga Simandalahi, ingatlah bahwa mereka adalah keturunan Toga Sinaga, marga atau boru Sinaga. Sudah tentu mereka pun adalah keturunan Raja Batak.

Samosir Pilihan Terbaik bagi Kamu Berpetualang Jelajahi Eksotisme Danau Toba

Danau Toba sangat luas. Terdiri dari 8 kabupaten. Jika kamu hanya punya libur dua hari rasanya tak cukup untuk eksplorasi banyak hal di Danau Toba. Jika kamu berjiwa petualang maka Samosir yang terbaik untuk kamu jelajahi eksotisme Danau Toba.

Tujuh kabupaten lainnya juga menawarkan hal yang sama. Hanya, jika kamu ingin dapat pengalaman banyak dalam waktu singkat maka Samosir pilihan terbaik buatmu.

Ini bukan sekadar promosi Samosir belaka. Sejumlah teman dan tamuku juga menyatakan hal serupa.

Mereka mengatakan Samosir destinasi super lengkap. Beberapa di antaranya pengakuan dua wanita yang bekerja di sebuah organisasi kemanusiaan di Jakarta.

Di awal mereka sudah rencanakan liburan 3 hari 2 malam di Parapat. Akan tetapi, setelah mereka tiba di Parapat mereka berubah pikiran. Bisa jadi karena mereka ingin melihat seperti apa Samosir itu.

Sekalipun sudah terlanjur membayar lunas kamar untuk dua malam, mereka berdua memutuskan untuk eksplor Samosir 2 hari 1 malam.

Hari pertama mereka tiba di Parapat mereka istirahat karena tiba sudah sore. Esok paginya mereka mengeksplor Bukit Senyum di Motung Ajibata dan The Kaldera di Sibisa.

Di siang hari mereka mengeksplor Samosir berangkat dari Pelabuhan Kapal Kayu Tigaraja menuju Homestay Jabu SiRulo Samosir.

Sebelum tiba di penginapan, mereka sangat menikmati bersepeda motor yang juga ku awasi dari kaca spion sepeda motorku.

Ku ajak singgah ke Panatapan Sinapuran Simanindo. Saat itu memang cukup terik dan ada pengunjung selain kami.

Dari raut wajah mereka aku perhatikan mereka kagum melihat pemandangan di depan mereka.

Tak lama kemudian ku ajak turun menuju kampung tidak jauh dari Panatapan Sinapuran.

Warga setempat ramah dan mengizinkan kami untuk melihat-lihat, mengambil foto Rumah Batak.

Di kesempatan itu, aku jelaskan ke kedua wanita ini mengapa Rumah Batak bentuknya layaknya perahu. Mengapa ada patung kepala kerbau atau ukiran cicak di hampir tiap ukiran Rumah Batak.

Usai dari Panatapan Sinapuran lalu kami pun beranjak menuju Homestay Jabu SiRulo. Hanya sebentar istirahat. Kami pun melanjutkan perjalanan menuju Bukit Burung.

Karena salah satu dari mereka ku amati sangat kuat secara fisik dan tampaknya senang eksplorasi alam, ku putuskan bawa mereka ke Bukit Burung.

Tepat tebakanku! Keduanya sangat jatuh hati dengan spot ini.

Tiap kesini bawa kawan atau tamu aku biasanya hanya duduk memandang Danau Toba yang begitu memukau.

Senang saja duduk sampai bahkan berjam-jam sembari menikmati cemilan atau minuman.
Tapi bersama kedua wanita ini aku harus menjawab tantangan untuk trekking.

Kami trekking sampai 15 menit di jalur yang belum lama ini dibuka. Foto bisa menunjukkan jalur yang kami lalui.

Berulang kali mereka mengambil foto dari berbagai sudut dan berbagai pose.

Sekalipun akses ke Bukit Burung ada yang tidak begitu bagus mereka tampak sangat menikmati senja saat itu.

Bahkan berencana untuk camping di sana kelak jika kembali lagi ke Samosir.
Dari Bukit Burung kami turun menuju Pemandian Aek Rangat.

Hari itu karena hari libur, Pemandian Aek Rangat padat. Kami memutuskan untuk memilih tempat yang tidak begitu padat pengunjung.

Tapi sama saja, di tiap tempat nyaris sama padatnya.

Sembari menikmati berendam di Aek Rangat aku pun cerita tentang luar biasanya Danau Toba yang memiliki banyak hal untuk bisa dinikmati.

Tidak hanya air tawar Danau Toba, gunungnya menghasilkan air panas yang dapat menyembuhkan beragam penyakit kulit.

Dari Aek Rangat kami juga singgah untuk berburu oleh-oleh di Pusat Oleh-Oleh di Pangururan. Setelahnya kami kembali ke Homestay Jabu SiRulo.

Keesokan paginya, kegiatan mereka dilanjutkan dengan olahraga mengayuh perahu Kano.

Mereka sangat menikmati mengayuh perahu Kano hingga jauh dari pandangan mataku.

Rasanya mereka sudah terbiasa mengayuh perahu Kano.

Seusai menikmati mengayuh perahu Kano, mereka pun sarapan dan siap-siap untuk kembali ke Parapat lalu menuju Kualanamu.

Setelah tiba Kualanamu dan bahkan tiba di Jakarta, mereka mengatakan mereka tidak menyesal telah memutuskan untuk ganti rencana perjalanan mendadak.

Sekalipun mereka terlanjur bayar kamar untuk 2 malam di Parapat dan terpaksa harus mengeluarkan uang tambahan untuk kamar di homestay, menyebrang dan rental sepeda motor, mereka puas.

Mereka puas bisa nikmati petulangan jelajahi eksostisme Danau Toba.

Mereka mengatakan dari tiga kabupaten yang mereka lintasi Simalungun, Toba dan Samosir, pilihan terbaik mereka adalah Samosir.

Samosir menyuguhkan paket lengkap bagi mereka berdua yang senang berpetualang.

Bisa eksplorasi Rumah Batak di Sinapuran Simanindo, trekking ke Bukit Burung, berendam di Aek Rangat Pangururan, mendayung perahu Kano di Pantai SiRulo dan menikmati menjelajahi Samosir dengan bersepeda motor. Mereka rasa itu sangat seru dan pengalaman tak terlupakan!

Damayanti adalah mantan jurnalis Harian Analisa membidangi Ekonomi dan Keuangan. Kini aktif sebagai penulis konten di NINNA.ID. Sembari sibuk di bidang jurnalistik, ia juga suka dengan dunia Pendidikan. Kecintaannya untuk menulis kedua topik Ekonomi dan Keuangan membuahkan hasil dengan memenangkan sejumlah lomba di antara juara ke-2 lomba penulisan tingkat nasional yang diadakan Angkasa Pura II. Juara ke-2 lomba tulisan Bursa Efek Indonesia (BEI) tingkat nasional. Finalis kompetisi tulisan jurnalistik yang diadakan Schroders juga tingkat nasional, dan finalis beberapa lomba lainnya. 

Belakangan menyukai topik Pariwisata, Lingkungan dan UMKM. Bergabung dalam wadah Kelompok Tani Hutan (KTH) Harangan.

I love reading books, do researching, learning, teaching and travelling. During my free time, I love to teach kids. That's one of my fun hobby. I also love to learn new languages and to have friends from other countries. Perhaps, one of my biggest reason become a tutor, I want to have more friends from abroad.

I have more than 12 years teaching experiences. I teach several subjects including English. Since 2020, I have several friends from abroad that live in Indonesia and abroad asked me to teach them Bahasa Indonesia. I got used to teach them online using WhatsApp and Zoom.

I also had experienced as an editor staff in Analisa Newspaper, one of biggest newspaper in North Sumatra. With these experiences, I convinced that I can teach Bahasa Indonesia very well.
